Director, Infrastructure & Developer Operations
As Director of Infrastructure and Developer Operations at Imaginuity, Kristan has the simple task of architecting, managing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure for all of the agency’s platforms, applications, and services. In his spare time he oversees all internal IT and Information Security efforts for Imaginuity. “I like working with people, processes, and systems to provide value to users and clients. The technology is an integral part of what we do, but it’s what we do with it that provides value and makes our efforts worthwhile” remarks Kristan.
After graduating with degrees in photojournalism, photography, and advertising at the University of Texas, Kristan earned a Bachelor’s degree for Communications and Management Information Services (MIS) from Dallas Baptist University. He spent a few years as a Director of Technical Services and IT Consulting before moving to Imaginuity in 2012. Says Kristan about the agency, “There is always an opportunity to learn something new. The technologies that we use, the clients that we support, the initiatives that we facilitate—there is always an opportunity to learn and keeps things from getting stale.”
Ironically, or perhaps not, Kristan likes to spend his free time unplugged—often on the open seas. Taking advantage of his Captain’s license from the US Coast Guard, he heads to the ocean whenever he has the opportunity. Back on land, Kristan is an avid photographer, shooting everything, except weddings. He also enjoys spending time supporting his local high school marching band by building props and driving those props and instruments around the country in a convoy of 18-wheelers.

Realize that we don’t all process information the same way. The loudest person in the room or the quickest to respond does not always have the useful input. Be cognizant of how people process information and communicate, and make room for their contributions.
